The Joy of Simple Sunday Connections
Let’s talk about the special events at Sunday Cottage Escape.
I think Sundays are the perfect day for meaningful moments and community connection.
When I say “community,” I’m talking about the guests relaxing in one of our 12 cozy tiny houses. The layout is designed with a central courtyard, where all the homes circle around a shared gathering space. This is why I call it a community — because everyone who is present becomes part of it. And honestly? Once you’ve stayed with us, you’re family. From that moment on

Sundays will be made extra special for our little cottage community.
Here are a few ideas I have in the works:
🌙 Outdoor Movie Nights – Big screen under the stars, popcorn, cozy drinks
🎲 Game Nights – Horseshoes, giant tic-tac-toe, croquet, card games and more
🎨 Creative Sessions – Painting, drawing, and crafting for fun expression
📖 Story Evenings – Share your special moments, life stories, or just connect
🎉 Holiday-Themed Events – Simple celebrations for the season at hand
📸 Photo Fun – Backdrops and props for capturing those memory-making moments
🧺 Bingo Night – With fun prizes, including souvenir goodies or a free night stay
🔥 Cozy Fire Evenings – For those cooler nights, enjoy blankets, firelight, and warm drinks
🍦 Summer Sundaes – DIY ice cream bar with your neighbors
It may not sound fancy — but sometimes, simple is what brings people closest. Mind you, these are just ideas. Who knows, these may change as time comes closer to our opening.
Being outdoors, sharing laughs, and making new friends… that’s the kind of magic we need more of in the world.
The beauty of it? You don’t have to join in — but you’ll always be welcome.
Because Sunday Cottage Escape isn’t just a place to stay.
It’s a place to connect.
To rest.
To feel part of something.
I keep saying this, but it’s true — my vision for this place is so clear that I already live here in my mind. And let me tell you… it’s absolutely wonderful.
