🌸 From Dream to Draft: How Sunday Cottage Escape Begins...
It all started with a fascination...
Tiny houses. Cozy, charming, and completely captivating. I was instantly drawn in — the idea of having a space that was completely mine, small enough to be simple, but big enough to feel like home. At the time, it was just me and my sweet little Chihuahua. And honestly? A tiny home sounded perfect. No one else to look after, nothing big to clean, and just enough room to hold what really mattered.
Week by week, I found myself dreaming more and more. I’d imagine the layout, the cozy nooks, the peaceful garden outside the window. And then one day, it hit me — 📌Pinterest. That’s when everything changed.
One simple search turned into a full-on obsession. I started pinning everything: country kitchens, dreamy loft beds, fairy-tale gardens, outdoor fire pits, you name it. I built boards full of ideas and color palettes. Ten years later... I’ve pinned over 50,000 things and followed more than 8,000 pages for inspiration. Yep. It’s been that real.😊
But somewhere along the way, that little personal dream started to grow. It wasn’t just about building a tiny home for myself anymore — it was about creating a space for others to enjoy too. A peaceful escape. A little cottage community where people can slow down and breathe.
That’s when the vision became real. I sat down and sketched out the layout. I could actually see it — where each house would go, the gardens, the walkways, the gathering space under the stars. It was exciting. Like, deep in your chest, kinda exciting.
And then... the brakes. 🛑
Reality check: I didn’t have the money to make it happen.
But instead of giving up, I started digging. I researched grants, partnerships, and potential investors. I realized there might be another way. And that’s why I’m here, sharing this blog and this journey with you.
I don’t know exactly how it’ll turn out. But I do know I had to try.
Because what’s the point of dreaming if you don’t at least try to bring it to life?
So welcome to Sunday Cottage Escape — not just a place, but a journey.
One filled with inspiration, planning, (a few stumbles), and hopefully, someday soon… an open day with the people who believed in it from the beginning. 🌸
